BioSuddenly, I'm a grad student working on my MFA in Creative Writing. I'm still trying to catch my breath. In a lecture hall pack with writers, the air is tingly like it is recovering from a lack of blood. Few thing are as surreal as having writers whose work you admire admiring your work. But then you sit on the edge terrified that they are going to discover the fake that you are. Then you become this big drama queen to cover the fear with pyrotechics and sleight of mind. Oh, how I love the contrived and affected! Throw in a bit of pathos, and it seduces. Seduce the ear and subvert the pious, write a poem!
